2012 Elite Competitors
To compete in the Elite category at any RENO 5000 5K Series Event, you must have completed a 5K in the following times:
Men: 18:00 or faster during a 2011 RENO 5000 5K Series events.
Women: 22:00 or faster during the 2011 RENO 5000 5K Series events.
Elite Rules for 2012: Your entry fee is $50 per event. 100% of your entry fee will be
used in the final race on July 28, 2012. The top 3 will be paid and the elite pot will be split
as follows (Regardless if the athlete has raced in all 4 events):
1st place: 50% of cash prize pot
2nd place: 30% of cash prize pot
3rd place: 20% of cash prize pot
In order to win a 2012 Series Award, you must compete in all FOUR (4) Series Events April through July, 2012.
